Physician Assistant
Karen is an experienced Physician Assistant with nearly two decades of experience in providing high-quality, caring and compassionate care to her patients. Karen harnesses the healing power of humor and empathy to empower her patients on their health and wellness journeys. Karen is working alongside Dr. Avvento at our Riverhead and Southampton offices.
Karen received her Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis University and her Masters in Public Health with a focus in Gerontology from Long Island University- Southampton College. After working in the administrative side of healthcare for many years at a large hospital system, she realized her true passion is clinical care and pursued her Physician Assistant Studies Degree from Hofstra University in 2005. Karen's life's work is caring for her patients and is a dedicated and relentless advocate for her patients.
