Dr. Vaishali Krishnamoorthy is a hematologist and medical oncologist dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients. Although she considers herself a Jersey girl, she now believes that the Staten Island community is her family and is honored to continue practicing there. She places a strong emphasis on building trust, fostering open communication, and providing individualized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. She is dedicated to understanding her patient’s concerns and developing strong relationships with them.
Dr. Krishnamoorthy earned her medical degree from the Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center in Bangalore, India. She further cultivated her clinical skills during her Residency and Fellowship at Richmond University Medical Center, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership as Chief Medical Resident and later as Chief Hematology/Oncology Fellow. She is board-certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Krishnamoorthy is particularly passionate about serving underprivileged communities where access to oncological care and preventative measures is limited. This dedication is reflected in her and her husband’s proactive efforts to support these communities with their non-profit organization.
Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Krishnamoorthy is a classical dancer and a big foodie who also enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures. She loves spending time with her husband, family, and close friends, who constantly motivate her to be the best version of herself. She believes that these personal passions not only bring joy and balance to her life but also enhance her empathy and creativity in her medical practice.
