Ramandeep Kaur Babbra, MD, is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist with a personal practice philosophy of empowering patients and their families to engage in a shared decision-making process every step of the way. She values her relationship with her patients and spends time understanding their individual expectations, needs, and treatment goals. She feels it is her moral duty and personal obligation to care for patients as a whole person, individualized patient care, and always advocate for her patients. She believes in open and honest communication between the care team and the patient and will always strive to provide her patients with the most advanced care possible.

Dr. Babbra received her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a doctor of medicine degree in a six-year combined program at the University of Missouri. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Scripps in San Diego, where she served an additional year as a Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Babbra worked as a hospitalist and was a visiting scholar doing research at the Aadel Chaudhuri lab at Washington University in St. Louis, a translational genomics lab that focused on the development and application of liquid biopsy in cancer. She completed her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she also had the honor of serving as Chief Fellow. There, she developed a special interest in breast medical oncology and hemostasis/thrombosis; however, is trained to serve as a general medical oncologist/hematologist and to provide many aspects of care within the field.

Dr. Babbra actively engages in ongoing continuing medical education courses and study clubs to stay up to date with the latest cutting-edge treatments in oncologic care. Aside from practicing medicine, Dr. Babbra enjoys running, yoga and pilates, exploring different cultures through traveling, and taking pleasure in shopping and fashion. While not fluent in Hindi or Punjabi, she understands both languages.
