Dr. Paul Youn

Radiation Oncology

Paul Youn, MD is a board certified radiation oncologist. He specializes in treatment of cancers in prostate, breast, lung, head and neck, gastrointestinal (GI) system, gynecological (GYN) system, skin, and lymphoma.

He is experienced with multiple radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and prostate and gynecologic brachytherapy.

He completed undergraduate studies at Cornell University, graduating cum laude with B.S. in Biological and Environmental Engineering.

He earned his medical degree with distinction in research at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He then went onto residency training in radiation oncology at University of Rochester Medical Center, where he served as chief resident.

He explained what was entailed in the treatment, which was 33 daily doses of low dose radiation . I was a bit skeptical, but he was so reassuring that I went forward with the treatment. I met with Dr Youen weekly for evaluation. It was a task to make daily trips, but well worth it. The radiation techs were extraordinarily competent and kind.
