Dr. Aref Agheli is a board-certified medical oncologist-hematologist renowned for his expertise in Thoracic, GI, and hematologic malignancies. However, his compassionate care extends to all forms of malignant disorders. Dr. Agheli is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art patient care as he continuously remains at the forefront of medical advancements to offer the most optimal treatment options.
At the core of his medical philosophy is the belief that each patient is a singular case, distinct from any other. Dr. Agheli possesses an intimate understanding of the overwhelming emotions that accompany a cancer diagnosis. He acknowledges the complexity of contemporary diagnostics, multifaceted prognoses, and intricate antineoplastic treatment choices, all of which can escalate stress levels. Dr. Agheli completed his undergraduate in Environmental Health at the Iran University of Medical Sciences, before pursuing a Medical Doctorate at the Urmia University of Medical Sciences. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Agheli has published numerous papers in several nationally known journals, including J Clin Oncology, Experimental Hematology Oncology, and Chest.
Dr. Agheli is happily married and has two wonderful kids with beautiful souls: a son and a daughter. In his free time, Dr. Agheli enjoys biking and skiing with his family of four, water sports, observing and photographing wilderness, and exploring wild nature. He is also a passionate collector of unique antique china and handcrafts.
